'Ticket' light? Where to find one

Well, it looks like we're getting a '12 9C1. I'll hold off posting up pictures until it's sitting in the garage. Looking at the pictures online, though, it looks like the ticket light was removed, even though the car still has some of the antennas and mirror strobes. Go figure.

Anyway, anyone know what models fit, and where to get one at a decent price? The one in our Tahoe is LED, so I'd like to go with one of those, if possible. Thanks.

I just looked, and there's not a single marking on mine, even with the lens removed. Mine is the white (incandescent) or red (led) combination light. You might try Kerr Industries, as they're the upfitter. Their website shows an all LED possibility. http://www.kerrindustries.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.kerrindustries.com/pdfs/caprice-options.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It looks like Sound Off Signal may make some. I may check with the dealer I'm buying the car from to see if they have anything laying around they can throw in the back seat for me. If not, I'll order online.

They are made by Sound Off and are installed by Kerr Industries as a factory option. They are white & red LED. The picture is what they look like removed, though are from a Tahoe.

Check eBay. I know they're probably different, but I got lucky and picked up a new one for $25 with free shipping for my CVPI. You might pay a few more bucks from the average public safety supplier.

Not affecting the night vision, or so goes the theory. My Dad proved that theory wrong years ago. Light is light, te red helps, but not that much.

Our Tahoe came with one, although for some reason it as disconnected. It is now working. Our 95 9C1 has one,too, fully-functional.

It does make a difference. I use this feature all the time at work. Sit in the car at night and turn on the white light then turn it off and turn on the red light. The red light does not reflect off of the windows near as bad it makes it easier for you to see things outside of the vehicle at night especially if you're sitting somewhere with all of your exterior lights turned off

You may have a different one installed that is only white. Mine is a 3-way switch that is off in the middle, white to the right, and red to the left.
