So I got the BMW trunk wiring boot today. Looks like it might be good for the job. While it is long enough I am not sure if the way it folds when lowering the trunk is the same as the factory G8 boot. Also inside diameter of the boot it self is about the same size as the factory G8 boot. So if you can get your hands on a G8 boot you will be in the same boat as the BMW. What the G8 guys were complaining about was that there was not enough room to run their stock wires plus the camera stuff. I would only be running the camera stuff through on mine and maybe a wire or two for some trunk lid courtesy lights. Think I could make it work. Won't know for sure until I get my rear view camera harnesses and stuff.

This was BMW part number 61138366627 about $7.00 from various sources.

The G8 boot sort of curves in toward the center of the car so it folds away from the hinges. the BMW one seems to tuck in under the hinge. Might not be a good thing
