Re: O2 wire harness repair

Trying to fix this correctly would involve pulling the harness out to solder a new connector. Is it possible to intercept these same 4 wires say up near the top of the motor instead and just onit the current wires in that harness and just run new wires down to the O2 connector? Also I can't seem to ...

Re: 2011 Caprice high beams not working

Is the 2013 fuse box the same as a 2014? I can only find a wiring diagram for a 2014 online at LS1 Tech. That image you have posted is the same fuse box I have in my 13 Steve. But I'm trying to chase down a fuse for the upstream O2 sensors.
Thanks

Re: L77 oxygen sensor replacement?

Does anyone have the Ohms Values for these Denso p/n 234-4668 ? Internet says between 10 to 20 Ohms in general. These 1 year old upstream sensors are coming in around 5.7 to 5.9 Ohms.
Thanks

Re: Headliner repair?

Yeah Gene, I went to a couple auto upholstery shops in the area and got ridiculous quotes (around $1,200 and up) they would tell me how they never did a PPV and it would be complicated. So I just put up with a floppy headliner couple more months and for the He'll of it I went to a furniture upholste...

O2 wire harness repair

Is this a common problem on our PPVs after only about 8 years? I've been battling intermittent PO174 and PO151 codes for the past 2 years and 2 different shops just wanted to change out the O2 sensors and tell me I probably have an intake leak. So before I give up and take it to a 3rd shop I bout a ...

Re: Unknown 5 pin flat plug ?

Wow! Old age or just a Brain Fart :) did the DOD deleted a couple years ago and forgot all about that, Thank you. I was so focused on why the insulation on my Bank 2 O2 sensor was missing after 2 other mechanics missed it until I finally jacked the car up myself before I take it to a 3rd shop that w...

Unknown 5 pin flat plug ?

I was troubleshooting the upstream O2 sensor wiring plugs coming from the harnesses. I noticed a flat 5 pin male plug just behind the Drivers side Head that was not connected to anything. We've had the motor out before but hadn't noticed anything plugged into it. Has anyone noticed this plug before ...

Re: PCV or not?

There is rubber plugged nipple on the valley cover just under the throttle body. Not sure why Holden decided not to use this as the dirty side? All I know is I'm getting a bunch of oil on my freshly done cam upgrade now. Any recommendations on catch cans? There's $25 ones on Amazon all the way up to...

Re: Out of state purchase

I had mine shipped from Florida to So. CA. A couple years ago, purchased on Ebay but only paid the dn.payment on their site and the balance thru a bank transfer. Ebay gets a big chunk, around 12 to 21% . I hired the shipper from California, it was about $900 bucks, they placed it in the middle of th...

Re: Oversized Oil filter

Mystery solved! Thank you. And yes I own a couple diesels and have a shelf with dozens of diesel fuel filters. Is it even worth retrofitting a fuel filter for the LS motor?
Thanks
