Re: Low tire pressure system failure!

I can see TPMS's added value for commercial vehicles - large multi-wheel trucks, buses (both commercial and those used by schools), etc. It makes much less sense to be in EVERY vehicle produced, although it is good for someone who just happened to buy stock in the company or companies that are the m...

Re: Low tire pressure system failure!

Well, I haven't had that happen, but I will add that I'm less than a "fan" of the government-mandated TPMS--it's Nanny Crap. I had much more confidence in the system used on the 2004 Impala SS that was traded for this car--no in-wheel sensors, but by measuring & comparing ABS signals f...

Re: Trailer hitch

That G8 towbar is a much different design than the others I've seen while working with CP. This G8 one bolts from underneath rather than replacing the impact bar supports. This eliminates my concerns about deleting the impact bar. So I'm very curious about fitment. And I have some questions that I ...

Re: 2014 Chevrolet Caprice PPV Information

Uhh...like it or not--gear selector stays on "dash"--too much cost to move to column for one vehicle with low market demand: http://www.chrysler.com/images/vehicles ... ty-img.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: 2014 Chevrolet Caprice PPV Information

I see your frequent posts on GM Inside News - welcome to New Caprice! Stop by as often as you can, and give us some "love" over at GMI, too! BTW - the Top Speed link seems to still be using 2011 photos of Caprice PPV, based on the rear bumper fascia, which was changed for 2012 & later ...

Re: Oil Separator/Catch Can

What lurks behind that "aw shucks" veneer, Bob? Me thinks you're a bit more computer-literate than you let on. But that's OK--just hit the road and come up to Concord NC next month to show everyone what you got!!!

Re: Oil Separator/Catch Can

Bob,

Assume your installation uses an aftermarket version--like this(?): http://www.uprproducts.com/pontiac-bill ... g8-08.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Can you describe or provide a link to a picture that shows how it's mounted?

Re: Oil Separator/Catch Can

If condensation is the concern, I'm just not sure how the separator design would create any greater problem than the existing stock (no separator) plumbing. I've done a test fit, and the height of the separator above the oil fill port brings it fairly close to the underside of the hood. May be a non...
