Re: social media, Facebook, instagram?

I know I often times will takes pictures and videos that I dont post here, just out of convienence. . This is my big prob with using social media for car related stuff. None of that stuff you post will be searchable for anyone years later especially when you factor in the changes to the actual plat...

Re: Pypes Pontiac G8 violator axle back

Yep, it'll sound exactly like the G8, but the tips won't clear the bumper. I'm running SS Sedan mufflers with a G8 flange welded on to them on mine. They had an awesome sound as installed, but definitely mellowed out a good bit when I had the tips lengthened out to the bumper. I'm hoping the kooks h...

Re: 9C1 to 9C3/G8 console conversion complete

I tried the HP tuners stuff to see if I could access D1, D2, and D3. When I move the shifter into "3" on the shift gate, I get D3. However, if I move the shifter further down into "2" or "1", the vehicle is still getting the signal that it should be in D3. I did set the...

Re: 9C1 to 9C3/G8 console conversion complete

So are you saying that with the P-R-N-D-3-2-1 shifter, if you pull it into 1, the car will start in first gear? I was hoping it would, but that was not the case. Well, it kind of is the case. The car starts in first, but doesn't stay in first. 3, 2, and 1 on the shifter all work the same as L on th...

Re: Finally found my car, 2011 9C1

with the tuning , you are comparing 2 different motors , the PPV being a 6.0 lower compression L77 DOD motor , to a 6.2 higher compression motor , with a more aggressive camshaft Kudos to you, your wikipedia game is strong. There's a grand total of 12 cubic inches difference between the motors, and...

Re: Finally found my car, 2011 9C1

Spent the day buried in HP Tuners and working on refining this formerly soft cruiser that wanted to be a sports sedan. Suffice to say, the factory tune is incredibly restrictive. Using a combination of bin files from a 2016 SS, an 09 G8 GXP, and a 15 Camaro ZL1, along with a lot of time, patience, a...

Re: SS Sedan Springs under the 2011 Caprice PPV

I also had the TPMS thresholds dropped down so that I could run 35 psi without getting the warnings Maurice HOW DID YOU DO THIS? P.S. I have the SS springs/later shocks and 1LE rear lower control arms on my 2011 and the ride is much less harsh than stock despite using 19" tires. Whats the adva...

Re: Finally found my car, 2011 9C1

looking good. I so wish that mine was black. but I got a good deal on the Silver one. How did you go about the Spotlight delete? I did a hasty job on the body work because I did it in December, so it was super cold out, and I'm still not fully moved into my new garage. Basically, I pulled all the s...

Re: social media, Facebook, instagram?

I, for one, probably wouldn't post on there at all if it wasn't a closed group. I don't like the idea of polluting the news feed of everyone else I know with car stuff that they probably don't care about. The closed group aspect of it also cuts down a lot on the trolling and random crap posting that...
