Re: 2.5 vs 2.25 diameter exhaust
I’ve read a lot of Vizard’s articles and he indicates that 2.25” pipes are good for up to about 415 HP without being a restriction. 2.5” should be good for up to 514 HP. I’d guess that 2.25” pipes are probably going to be a little small for you, but no idea if going bigger will get you 5+ HP. Wtf a...

Would it pick up another 5 going 2.5 after the header connection pipes?

Re: 2.5 vs 2.25 diameter exhaust
I race my car, want to lower my ET by something noticable for the work though. Have jba long tubes and catted connections pipes, then went into a 2.25 x pipe and stock back with qtp cutouts. Thinking about going 2.5" xpipe back. There doesnt seem to be alot of difference based on the FB pages d...

2.5 vs 2.25 diameter exhaust
Im just curious if anyone has proof that going to 2.5 *before the resonator* gives more than 5whp lol i find it weird that solo asked if i was super charged and b.c im not doesnt recommend 3" exhaust but the 2.5 was better, which i believe but i haven't found the a comparison. I also thought th...

Lowering ET - toon, gear, & grip
Hey guys, ive been wondering what will lower my 1/8 ET more; a dyno tune OR 3.25 gears? Ive been trying to go by the On All Cylinders L77 build guide and it says the next step is getting a 5th gen camaro gear. Ive seen the post on Facebook and people have doubts about the 3.25s lol Ive tried to use ...

Re: 1/8 Mile E/t's
I didnt realize this but i was following the On All Cylinders L77 build guide lol put the otr cai on, did headers, have the AFM disabler, im looking at getting my car remapped, and was thinking cam if i have enough buffer for my drag class limit I had JBA SS header and catted connection pipes put on...

Re: MY JBA exhaust setup, questions left, lessons
I never said it wasnt a restriction lol i just said i had it left in there b.c im still using DoD. I later learned after that theres no separation of exhaust in the resonator, and is H pipe like. However, being able to hear the exhaust in the resonator was unexpected, and ill prolli have it removed ...

MY JBA exhaust setup, questions left, lessons
Thought process: HP>quiet/loud>cost I bought JBA SS headers and catted conn pipes. Told the shop i wanted an H pipe and later cutouts. Solo said a full setup: kooks headers, solo catted conn pipes, balanced (or shorty) was 2205. JBA headers, catted conn pipes were 1185. Weld in 2.25 cutouts were on ...

Re: Orrsom OTR CAI
It would appear that the CAI did cut .12 off my ET. I even lowered my 60ft so it didnt lose any power below 3k. On the way back the first time at 65, the car started running rough. There was some wierd "miss match" like that 1 episode of Engine masters. It was from the 4 cylinder mode. It ...
