Just in case anyone was still wondering, the factory wheels do fir over first gen CTS-V brakes. I just switched back to my factory wheels for winter and they fit, no problems. The next question is, is there a place for a clutch master? I remember looking (briefly) and not seeing a hole. There may be one on the other side, which doesn't really help.

I have removed and reused literally thousands of caliper mounting bolts and never had one come loose. Apparently my 3/8" impact knows the perfect torque for these bolts.

I used the Russell kit because, well, why not? They are hoses for a G8 and they look exactly the same as the factory ones I pulled off. I don't see why the originals wouldn't work. The banjo bolts from the original calipers will not work and there is a shorter version for the rears, but as I said I ...

I removed my OEM pads at around 15k miles. I had 80% pad left or better. I've owned mine since new though, so it hasn't been a used by some cop.

There are a few screws you remove and then you pull. One of the simpler panels I have ever removed.
