Re: FNG From OK

I think you need to do the googlie on 'Speedmaster747 in Alvin, Tx' to get where you need to go. :D

Re: FNG From OK

These things can easily do double-duty. I have a 96 Impala SS that's a DD and low-11-sec car with just bolt-ons. Very few compromises either way. I'd expect the same from a Caprice, and bet it can be done with bolt-ons, N/A, too.

Re: FNG From OK

Yes, my tuner indicated that removing DOD, via programming, at least on low mileage cars, seems to greatly prolong lifter failure associated with DOD. I discussed doing a complete DOD delete, with the blower install. He stated as long as I kept the factory shift points, 6000 or so, it should hold u...

Re: FNG From OK

Our car had a lifter fail at 4X,000 miles. They replaced the failed lifter and associated parts, and the cam, and the ca has enjoyed 40,000 more issue-free miles. If I had a hint of trouble, I'd yank the DOD stuff in a heartbeat. I'm interested to know, though, if disabling the system via programmin...

Re: Xforce resonators

Thank you, Eric. I am VERY interested, but am out of budget for a bit. We had a new-to-us trailer drop in our laps, and couldn't resist the price. That, and I have placed the order for next year's Hoosier slicks on the autocross car, after replacing the tires on the wife's Tahoe PPV, which were almo...

Re: 2013 Caprice 9C1 with 67 miles

I'm not sure I understand the reasons for this mod. Are you doing this so you can use a G8 shifter, or are you using a G8 shifter so you can get the transmission to actually go in 1st gear, instead just the low range (gears 1-3) as it does with the PPV shifter in Low?

Re: $8K a fair price for a 2011 Black and White?

Yeah, but that's something that can usually be handled by writing one check! As far as the black and white paint scheme, it's factory! We have an ex-Tx-DPS 1992 B4C Camaro. It's complete with the spot lights and the Texas DPS Asset tag in the door jamb. It's painted a crappy metallic blue paint that...
