I am interested, but I would need more details about the kit and how it works. Like what is involved in installation? Does the bumper cover need to be removed to complete the installation? What if I want to upgrade to the G8 switch? Is the wiring already compatible or do I need to cut/hack stuff?

I had to enable the display in the menu options of my 2011. It was disabled by default in the regular display. It's also in the engineering mode. Mine's a pretty early 2011 (2/2011 prod date). But not a beta car.
