Re: Fog Lamps - more kits being ordered, who's in?
I am interested, but I would need more details about the kit and how it works. Like what is involved in installation? Does the bumper cover need to be removed to complete the installation? What if I want to upgrade to the G8 switch? Is the wiring already compatible or do I need to cut/hack stuff?

Re: Welcome to New Caprice!
Yep! I was the internet bidder that won the truck at the auction... I couldn't get there in time to bid in person; it was a last minute addition... I already had a few Gen 1 Dakota parts from my previous Gen 1... Sold that one to a buddy of mine who built it into this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: A few annoyances
With mine, the centre display is configurable. I like the digital speedo but it allows the driver to choose. I'm surprised they changed this. To clarify, the PPV can be changed in the menu after you start the car. But once you shut off the car and restart, it defaults back to speedo. This may be a ...

Re: Shifter location on the 2014 9C1 & 9C3
OK folks, please tell me my eyes are playing tricks on me. Everyone is referring to the transmission shift lever on the 2014 Caprices as a "Column shifter" or alluding to the fact the "shifter is moved to the steering column ". Well, take a good close look at the spy picture tha...

Re: AFM?
L76 has AFM. The difference is L77 is E 85 capable. Thanks. I stand corrected. I guess the early Holden L76 didn't have AFM but the G8 did, and then was retrofitted into the Holdens thereafter. So this deepens the mystery as to why it would be disabled on his car if it's been standard for a few yea...

Re: A few annoyances
Front brake dust - I have full wheel covers and I have to clean them just about every other day because the factory pads make a ton of dust. Yep, agree. I think this is a problem with any high performance braking system. The type of pad used to achieve the braking performance required is what is cr...

Re: AFM?
How did you do that, Tom? I don't seem to even have the choice displayed on my customization menu or my engineering mode menu. Did you have both? It's not in an intuitive location in the menus. It's under Customize Options -> Trip Computer -> Cyl Mode (you need to scroll way down under the Trip Com...

1989 Shelby Dakota #1433 - a.k.a. "Spare Parts III" - The "Green" one seen on Fast-N-Loud... Yes, that one! Welcome, Tom from TX! This is Tom from Pittsburgh shouting back. The bright green one? Didn't that go to an auction for charity? Did you get it at the auction? Did you mee...

Re: AFM?
I had to enable the display in the menu options of my 2011. It was disabled by default in the regular display. It's also in the engineering mode. Mine's a pretty early 2011 (2/2011 prod date). But not a beta car.
