Re: Welcome to New Caprice!
I just sent him a PM on the G8board, if he didn't see the email pop up he doesn't have the link to complete validation. Told him to check and let me know.... first problem I've had so far with the validator.

Re: Welcome to New Caprice!
Welcome Tom! Good to have another old NAISSO user on-board and it's good to see you still have some 9C1's running :). It's interesting you mention Dukes of Hazzard, I only live about 35 miles from James Best (VERY nice person BTW), a good friend of mine in Titusville has met with him a number of tim...

Re: New found options
Basically in a nutshell, radios, police lights, sirens, and laptops are hooked to the secondary battery if I remember the upfit FAQ correctly. The primary runs the vehicle, the secondary runs the goodies. There's a isolator between the two that prevents high/low discharge (pretty much the same rig y...

Re: Holden iQ issues
hmmmm.... I know in monitoring some forums from down under discussing the iQ that there was at least one software revision/upgrade done to address problems. Now I don't know what version software/firmware we have as delivered vs. what the current should be in the eyes of GM/dealer. This strikes me a...

Re: Potential valvetrain problem?
Glad you jogged our memory on this one Bill. The problem with the L76's is with the AFM lifters. Seems they like to tick and/or fail. If they fail there's a good chance the cam may go with them it seems. Should be plenty of info on this over on the G8 forums. I was thinking about this very same thin...

Tuners & tuning companies
OK, for lack of a better place to put this topic I'm starting it under Drivetrain. As you know there are differences between tuning the L76 and L77 platforms. The E85 optioning for the L77 tend to complicate the tables a lot more (from what I've been told). So, someone that may be good at tuning G8'...

Re: Remote Start for PPV's without it
I don't have remote start for my car. It really seems to be random how the options were populated among the vehicles I think. I'm going to do some work to enable a files section for us soon, when I get it done I'll post the ordering guides I have on-file as well as the upfitting guides. I think we a...

Re: Austin in May - Circuit of The Americas - V8 Supercars
Man, I'd love to go to this. Unfortunately I'm already committed for a trip to Dayton, Ohio to attend the annual Hamvention the exact same dates. If something changes with my other trip I will seriously consider attending. Wonder if the promoter would like some PPV's to do a pace lap?

Re: "Hot" PPV somewhere in NC
I'm wondering what happened to the SLP demo Caprice with the supercharger. It was up for sale the same time as the PRI show in Orlando, that'd also be another nice one for the show circuit...

Re: New found options
I think most all of our cars have the auxiliary battery because of the need to run police radios, laptops, etc... You got lucky and got the remote start on yours, all I ended up with was the plastic trunk mat... lol... All kidding aside, the local fire chief in my hometown is a good friend of mine a...
