I'd get a tune to be sure that it NEVER comes back on. The Range does work however, if it's taken out by an unknowing tech for some reason and it activates, it will fail again. I looked at mine and there are vertical lines between those top grids. Wouldn't that affect operation and amp draw? It doesn't look to me to be for defrosting but as an antenna. As mentioned, it could be an Aussie thing for some special radio frequency or cellular?

Interesting. Maybe not a cost cutting thing but could have been necessary to prevent interference with fixed mounted radar units. I remember Fords had issues with the electric windshields.

Nice work. If you want to protect the headlights from any further sun damage, use some 3M clear UV paint film. Did that on mine after sanding and buffing, been good for 3 years.

Well, that site ain't working. Tried with FF and Edge and I can't get either the player to work or download.

Maybe try YouTube instead. At least I know that works.
