Re: Here's One of the Canadian Caprices

Indeed. OTOH, it would probably be a low-mileage car, and being parked in a parking lot means it's not running round in the salt. :)

Re: rotofab cai 2014 SS

I'm tending toward a OTR, but will be putting that off for a while. I'd also like a header-to-tailpipe solution, but haven't found that yet.

Re: rotofab cai 2014 SS

Sorry, the other Dave, SD Dave. But thank you for the info. How is the mileage with the DOD delete?

I'll try to throw the OBD scanner on the car this weekend to see how the IAC temps are stock.

Re: Here's One of the Canadian Caprices

You know, I personally find the black cars to look totally different than any other color. It's weird, but I really like the BBB color. The lack of the spot is nice, but if I was looking for another one, it would DEFINITELY be a 9C3. The lack of storage is a real limiting factor with these cars. SOM...

Re: rotofab cai 2014 SS

Dave, did you use a DOD delete kit, or have it turned off with the tune? Thanks.

Re: flasher module

I did mine a while back. My LEDs are connected to my high beams, so they flash, too. Hard to tell, but the left LED is wired to the right high beam, and vice versa. The quickness of the LEDs makes it hard to tell. http://vid6.photobucket.com/albums/y211/bsparks7/20150214_125126%201_zpsypndgmiy.mp4&...

Re: rotofab cai 2014 SS

That sounds about right. Remember, the fans are also blowing are on the intake tube, and filling the space between the radiator and engine with nice toasty air. It's amazing how fast the air can heat up in those tubes. I have my RamIT intake tube wrapped with insulation to prevent that some.

Re: 2011 Alto Gray 9C3 Caprice in NJ

Oil consumption IS hit-or-miss. It's the same with the Tahoes. What limited contact I've had with the HPD driving instructors, EVERY comment about the Taurus police cars was a comment of derision, and almost every comment about the Caprice included two thumbs up signs. The only negative comment I he...

SS wheels

Looks like I'll be picking up a set of 2015 SS takeoffs this week. Not sure on the tire we'll put on them yet, as I'll probably wait until I get the car lowered, but at least I'll have them ready to go. I'll also probably get them powder-coated black so the blend in with the car.
