Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?

Nice compressor upgrade. I can't stand "oil-less" compressors. It basically means when all of the oil burns up, it's now oil-less. LOL! Disposable junk. I have two compressors. Both belt-driven. One is a small 120VAC single stage with a 30 gallon tank. The other is a 240VAC 2-stage with a ...

Re: Trailer hitch

How does a "behind license plate" version look and work on these cars?

Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?

Interesting restriction there. Almost looks intentional and not a casting flaw. I wonder if that was engineered into the manifolds to either increase velocity or create some turbulence before entering the cats. Just guessing, but I'm wondering if the AFM (or other part-throttle condition) was causin...

Re: Time for new tires

Update... Life got in the way, and I still haven't ordered new tires. LOL Has anybody had any experience with the "General G-MAX Justice" tires? I like the idea of them. But worried they are not tuned for comfort in any sense. Looks like they are Made in the USA. They are more expensive th...

Yep, that's the ticket. Making bends from other sections. You definitely aren't messing around with dinky stuff going with 18 gauge. Each challenge is lesson.

Curious to see your progress on this... I'll be following. Keep up the good work.

Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?

Nice! What gauge metal is that? My exhaust guy just buys those "bend assortments" in bulk and just cuts/welds pieces to get the radius he needs. He said it's the cheapest method to get mandrel bent pipes. He feels that as long as the welds are clean, there are no concerns with flow due to ...

Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?

Side note... I was convinced that the PPV used better quality stainless steel on these exhaust components compared to the old B-Bodies, which do/did the same thing to their mufflers after several years! Interestingly, even in the most snowy, salty, rust belt climates, I've had stock mufflers rust ou...

Re: OFFICIAL Master Production List - All Years

Yep, found one more VIN from the Criswell lot from my experience with them late June 2011: 2011 534058 Phantom Black L77 9C3 I assume the build date would be same as mine above, as the VINs are so close: 02/11 Pic of same car. It was already prepped for sale when I got there. It wasn't in their remo...
