Re: Car covers by COVERCRAFT

I like the form fitted one. It will probably stay on better in the wind. I still have my cover from the Camaro and it is big enough to fit the Caprice, except for the antenna. You can buy shorter antennas but I like the longer antenna for some reason. I was just thinking of getting a new cover becau...

AEM CAI pipe

I installed an AEM Brute Force CAI pipe today. It came with the metal pipe painted grey (polished also available), 2 rubber connecting boots, all the clamps and the air breather tube. I didn't get a different filter or some other type of CAI because I didn't want a filter with oil in it and I didn't...

Re: ISSCA Impala Nationals, Concord NC, August 6 - 10, 2013

I was told that currently there are only two PPVs registered for the ISSCA Nationals. Is there anyone else planning on attending? This should be a good time to show our cars off to the B-Body crowd. Bob just told me they had me down as a Caprice, and not a Caprice PPV. They have it straight now. Th...

Re: steering wheel swap

Looks good Bill, does our switches and air bag fit in that wheel? That's the G8 GT wheel, correct? The sportier GXP wheel has a flat bottom. Do you (or anyone) know how to take the silver switch trim off? I was looking into a custom leather cover. You can order any color you want, plus parts can be ...

That looks good.
I'll have to see it in person.

Re: Road Trip report - 18 to 30 June 2013

Great road trip repot Bill. Sounds like you caught up and passed me in the mod department. I have a few more things to do, but not much before the Nationals. I'd like to do brakes in the future. I know these cars are heavier than the Camaro, but I much preferred the Camaro brakes. From what I've rea...

Re: wheel options?

I liked the Camaro wheels on the car a lot.
But I just didn't want to go down to the 30 series tires to clear the fenders.
I drive the car every day and part of the reason I traded the Camaro for the Caprice was to fit people in the back seat with comfort.

Re: wheel options?

The wheels came in yesterday and I had a chance to put them on today. Just in time for the GM Nationals in Carlisle. Here's a couple of shots in the driveway for now. I'll take some nicer pictures in Carlisle. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3uJqY4RnpWI/UcJ5FYXDfhI/AAAAAAAAHnw/Gre_4-HbEH8/s912/ph...

Very nice.
Yeah, worked out nice and it really cleans up the engine bay.
Thanks Paul

engine covers

I installed my engine covers over the weekend.
I kept the center cover on the intake, so I trimmed the covers to fit.
I also painted the 6.0 red and GEN-4 silver.
