Re: Driver's door electric gremlins

It is a very common problem to have broken wires in the driver side door. I have repaired about 4-5 cars with multiple broken wires. I now pull the door panel off and take the harness out, so the repair splices are not close to where the wire bends.

Re: ABS light without touching the brake

I bought an Autel MX808 MaxiCheck 3-4 years ago and have been very pleased with it. It was around $400 delivered. I believe it has been discontinued, but the replacement is pretty close to the same price. It does have one quirk though. For some reason the live data for the rear spend sensors are swi...

Re: Tuner for shift patterns

I will be the one to ask, but why would you want to make it shift smoother? They have a pretty soft shift from the factory unless someone has been playing with transmission tune before you acquired it.

Re: ABS light without touching the brake

Most common problem in the 11-13’s seem to be the wheel speed sensors. I have had multiple sensor failures on my fleet. The rears are cheap and easy to replace. The fronts require a new bearing assembly. If you plan on maintaining the car yourself, a decent scan tool that will read and show data on ...

Re: No low beams

G-102 ground is on the body rail on the passenger side, buried around the compressor area. If it is a rust belt car, the wire may be corroded off. It is not a real fun spot to get to. May be easier to just add a ground wire up a the wiring on the light connector, like the OP did in this thread.

Re: No low beams

The BCM controls the ground of the control circuit for the headlight relays, not the grounds at the headlight assemblies. It looks like the high beams and the low beams have separate ground points, G-102 for the low and G-104 for the high.

Re: WTB 4 Full hubcaps.

I bought a new set from Matty Curtis out Australia cheaper than I could by a new set from the GM online parts sellers. He is on a couple of the Caprice FB pages.

Re: Coolant Temperature fluctuations

All of the OEM LS water pumps I have pulled apart have had stainless steel impellers which pretty well rules out a bad pump. I would check the coolant level in the radiator when it is cold to confirm the system is full of coolant. If the fans are working correctly, you will definitely hear them when...

Re: Anyone know what this done is on top of car?

It was added by an upfitter. My guess would be a GPS receiver/antenna.
