Re: Canuck Caprice

Yep, bone stock except for the exhaust and my intake resonator delete. Would have been interesting to see the numbers with the stock exhaust, which could have been even worse, since it's so restrictive. Next thing will probably be a cam however my plate is full for this year and want to do it in a p...

Re: Charging system issues. Any suggestions

Make sure the connector on the alternator is in properly and locked in. I had a replacement alternator (on a different vehicle) that all of a sudden gave me the system not charging error. The connector worked itself out and wouldn't lock in. Had to trim a bit of the clip so it would click in.

Re: 2014 Caprice PPV - YouTube Project Car

I think that's a hard coded thing by GM in all their BCM programming for police vehicles. All GM police vehicles have all automatic horn functions disabled, including the confirmation of locked doors and the panic. It used to piss me off that it didn't work when looking for MY police car in the lot ...

Re: Canuck Caprice

Yesterday, I installed the new downstream sensor to replace the one that the shop fubared. Well, turns out I didn't notice that the other one was also f*cked with a heater circuit error. I didn't see it because of all the other codes. Today however, all those bad memories got erased (or at least put...

Re: New From NC

Hi and welcome! Nice looker there. You must have bought it from another enthusiast as it has the side repeaters. I have a set but still have to install them but they do look sharp. Wheels look good too.

Re: New Guy

Welcome. Some pics would be nice.

Maybe whoever had it before put in some fake Chinese plugs? There are a proliferation of them on Amazon and eBay.

Re: Console Conversion Wiring Kit - Info

I'm in no rush since I'm also waiting for the 9c3 shifter cover. If you can figure this out and save me hours of frustration, I'd really appreciate it. Here are the pics. I also grabbed the back of the Sport and TC switches. IMG_20200521_201952_resized4161772145059826930.jpg IMG_20200521_202001_resi...

Ah man, that's just crap luck. It certainly looks repairable. If they want to total it, buy it back and fix it yourself with used parts from here, FB and car-part.com.

Re: Console Conversion Wiring Kit - Info

Very timely for me since I just did the conversion and still need to do the wiring on the TUTD and the switches. Was waiting for the reopening of my local electronic supply store to find a plug to go into the trunk/TC combo switch. Still have to figure out which pin does what in that switch. I'm pla...

Recall: HF Pittspurgh Jack Stands

Just in case you've been engrossed on the pandemic news, I received an email from HF about this recall because I have bought four of the 6 ton version. And I had just used them recently too. Since we don't have HF in Canada, what am I supposed to do with them? The closest one is in Pottsdam NY, the ...
