Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?
Cool man! If the forum had a "thumbs up" button, I'd press it. Great thread and exhaust system build. Keep us posted with any updates.

Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?
Always something... I thought I was the only one with luck like that. I'm usually pretty good with electrical stuff, but sometimes these things can really throw you through a loop. At least you saw the wire was physically broken. The wires that break inside the insulation are wayyyy more fun t...

Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?
Cool! Looking great. Love this thread. I think I asked this before, but if the expansion chamber turns out to be a bust with noise, what about replacing it with a X-pipe and see what happens? By your description, the rest of the exhaust appears to sound reasonable, and swapping the chamber for an X ...

Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?
Nice! If your engine is cammed, then the sound profile will be very different than a stock engine. That changes everything (for the better, LOL). I assume you have no AFM to deal with either (also for the better). For the expansion chamber, are you tuning the pipes as they enter the chamber? Meaning...

Re: Why just fix the leak when you can eliminate the choke points?
Lookin good! Really curious to see how [you perceive] it sounds. These cars (at least with a stock engine configuration) seem to be slightly more challenging to get a good exhaust sound.

Re: Trailer hitch
If you decide to wire your own 4-pin, here's the Bill of Materials for building a converter/isolator circuit and wiring up the harness: 3x generic 4-pin or 5-pin automotive relays, 12V, usually rated for 25-40A 1x fuse and holder, 15A 1x generic automotive switch, non-lighted (optional) 1x pack of 1...

Re: Trailer hitch
I've been lurking on this post for a while and recently also bought a hitch from Holmart and had it shipped over. Installation was super easy as stated earlier. I still haven't wired up lights and will probably let the local trailer shop wire a converter in. I have a 2012, and got lucky with my cut...

Re: New Member from North Carolina
Welcome! Two years ago, I almost bought a 2012 9C3 V6 with 4K miles. A friend of mine had it since new. ;-) Unfortunately I had some health, work, and financial problems all hit me at the same time and needed to pass on that opportunity. He ended up selling it on eBay, getting more than he would hav...

Re: Trailer hitch
I'm not sure if I love or hate the concept. The posting on FB talks about plate removal or hinged plate. I assume that the hitch being relatively higher is good from a leverage standpoint. Obstructing or removing the plate does seem to be a problem. I guess the mods to your bumper would be less obv...
