Re: Suspension refresh, what additional parts are needed?
Unless your PPV's are different, there are no bottom 'isolators', certainly not in the Aussie cars. The top rubbers are probably ok, but the bearings may be loose. When you pull the strut assemblies apart to refurbish, you will get a plethora of little steel balls goin everywhere, toss the bearings....

Re: Rear side window trims falling off
I had this problem with my WM
I asked about a fix, and was told, if I had the metal part, a whole tube of Cyanoacrilate glue (super glue) would fix.
Or a generous application of Elmers or some such. It's just glued on, so if it comes loose or falls right off, just glue it back on

Re: Can Chevy SS and Caprice PPV panels can be swapped?
From the B-Pillar forward the Caprice and Commodore based cars are the same, except for the exterior panels forward of the firewall. This means that you could put a Caprice nose on a G8 for example,, it will bolt right up, just change fenders, bumper and bonnet and grille. Likewise you could put an ...

Re: trunk lid pull-down handle
Don't use the lip spoiler as a handle, the mounting is not super secure, it's enough to keep it there only, so it would not take long before it begins to feel loose

Re: Blacked out trim
The stance is 100% normal on all Caprice cars, it's actually a clever illusion. Note that the bottom of the side sills are parallel to ground Then the bottom of the doors, and the styling spear is raised at the rear. Then the crease line just below the door handles is lifted even more Then finally t...

Re: Australian people
There's plenty of cars here, and with many many parts common between Commodore and Caprice, they would sell. I learned recently that even the NT government has problems with this local dealer, there are lots of Holden AND Toyota cars on the Government fleet that he could be supporting, but alas... T...

Re: GMH Caprice Rims Prices
Those wheels are off Holden Caprice WM Series II. The Series 1 Caprice wheels were similar but without the sideways kink in the spokes. Both are 18" and take 245/ZR45/18 tyres. The wheels have a machined finish on the outer face and a generous coating of clear lacquer which can become chipped, ...

Re: A look at what lurks under the hood of the V6 Caprice
and here's the earlier (07) VE/WM Series 1 version. Note the Alloy intake plenum Top Manifold, and the different intake air box, which has a chamber for smoothing out air pulses, and then the variations in small plumbing. There is also usually a pair of covers above each Cylinder Head, with a row of...
