Re: Fuel tank removal snaffu
Thanks Steve for the reply. I agree, that fitting is not meant for mortal men to mess with. Since I am a driveway mechanic, my arrangement is interesting. Front of the car is up about an extra 18 inches at the frame (on blocks and 2x6 board. While the back of the car is up on 10 inch ramps…..so when...

Fuel tank removal snaffu
Haven’t posted in awhile. Eventually I will post my fun and adventures under the my build area. But the long story…..in its condensed edition is that : in my 2014 PPV I discovered a fuel leak from the driver’s side of the fuel tank when I fill the tank. After assembling all the potentially needed pa...

WTB Front Lower Deflector
Hey everyone, I am looking for the front lower deflector panel, part No. 92247388. Attached is the illustration, and the part is marked as #3. Interesting enough, turns out my car does not have one, which I found out while replacing the windshield washer tank and mounting a pushbar. Looks like when ...

Re: RH Spotlight wiring
Hey, that would be great if you could find the right hand spot wire hiding on your parts car. ! As for my shop manuals for my 2011 CVPI, mine was a set…..one had everything but the wiring diagrams, and the other was all the electrical stuff. Mine came from Ebay used, but were in great shape. I just ...

Re: RH Spotlight wiring
Thanks for the info. I have the PDF file for the police guide. It tells me the wire is red/gray originating from the “under the hood electrical center “, but nothing of whether the wire pre exists in one of the main harnesses up to some point….(nor its point of entry into the passenger compartment) ...

Thanks for the welcome. Posted some pics under member builds, and a long winded question under police equipment.

RH Spotlight wiring
Howdy, this is a general spotlight wiring question, which I almost put in the general section, but I think it belongs here. I may have missed it, if posted before. In the nutshell, my 2014 Caprice PPV came with no spotlights. Rather, the LH spot had been previously removed. I wanted to restore the l...

My 2014 Caprice PPV 9C1 6.0L getting started
Well, now that I am here, thought I would introduce Cassie, as I have named her. The first three pictures are of her when she first came home. As you can see, she has no spotlights. She had one on the left, but it was removed and the holes covered. Since I enjoy the vehicle for what she represented,...

Good day all, and thanks for having me
Hello, nice to be here, and hope to learn a lot, and be able to help others out. Been a backyard mechanic all my life with the general premise that there may be a special tool needed to do the job or make it easier, but if I can’t get it…….there is always another way. I have had my PPV for about 2 m...
