Re: In search of a dad mobile
Any cam with some overlap while with a stock converter is usually not a fun experience. You either raise the idle speed and the car will try to push through the brakes or you lower the idle speed and it will want to buck and stall. The more overlap on the exhaust to intake valve events the worse it ...

Re: Metal shavings in intake manifold behind throttle body
I would pull the PVC tube off, cotton swab the inside, and see if it is coming from there. Same with the intake. All that metal probably means you are about to be digging into the engine, checking the rocker arms, trundles, lifters, cam, bearings, etc.

Re: Anyone else use the Camaro console?
A few things.... Look for a 2010-2015 automatic camaro without the gauges. The manual camaros have a shift pattern on the shifter bezel. On eBay and Amazon there are black covers you can buy to stick on the silver shifter bezel. I purchased the shifter cubby and parking brake cubby from IPF racing. ...

Re: DOD and Smog California
Thank you! That is exactly what I was looking for. I am pretty sure that CA is only looking at the Engine Diag. Calibration Module to verify the CVN matches. Meaning as long as you don't set your rear O2s to no report for example then you should be fine to tune for a DOD delete and modify the fuel a...

Re: DOD and Smog California
That is awesome! Can I ask a huge favor that I have been dying to know for the past several years. Can you pull up your CVN numbers in HPTuners and then go to https://tis2web.service.opel.com/tis2web/ (enter VIN, select K20, select programming) and pull up the stock CVN numbers to compare them? Tell...

Re: Idle hours vs miles when purchasing
I agree with Joe. I did a DOD delete, cam, heads, etc. on my 14 that had almost 200k. Most people think you are crazy, the car is worn out, good for the junk yard, etc. at 200k. It was used by a transit agency for the disabled so it was driven a lot. The cylinders looked fantastic. Cam bearings were...
