Re: slow cranking when starting?
Chevy Caprice PPV owners and fans. It has the highest number of members of the ppv FB pages and basically everyone has had one or more of the problems that frequently emerge with these cars. If you don’t find an answer here, it may be there. Search first or bring a fire extinguisher lol. There are s...

Re: slow cranking when starting?
Have you seen pictures of the crank sensor harness that lives above the starter and next to the passenger manifold? They get pretty crunchy. Can be a cause for your symptom. They’ll be more prevalent on the FB page.

The clips!!!
So I have the car back from the mechanic and it runs amazing and is a dang pleasure to drive. While I reconsider selling this 4th vehicle, I do want it to be ready to make a good first impression on any potential buyers. So I have the door reveals as I believe they are so called. But I need like a d...

Re: 2012 Caprice PPV will not start. No crank.
Well, finally got some good news. Computer was replaced and programmed and the car runs and drives. Still needed a crank sensor relearn but the radio/hvac was blank and stuck on full cold AC. Found the answer in minutes here, mechanic pulled and reinserted same fuse over battery and he was back in b...

Re: 2012 Caprice PPV will not start. No crank.
I might have the same issue Instead of pulling the starter out, which was a nuisance, you may be able to see the pigtail from a window behind the passenger tire. It screws in with 3 fasteners I think. Maybe one hex head and 2 torx. Wheel off, car on a jack stand... Not sure though. Still slacking o...

I cannot. Keep an eye out, as they pop up every few weeks it seems. Unfortunately there’s no rhyme or reason to posting on fb. A guy might introduce his problem in one post and days later, post his solution in a new one, without mentioning the original symptoms. Or a pic of something with “how do I ...

Re: 2012 Caprice PPV will not start. No crank.
Did the dealer get your car to start. What was the problem. I have my 2013 at dealer now getting all lock cylinders changed to random key. They called last night said it will not start no engine immobilized code. I was wondering what your problem was to tell them where to start. They are waiting un...

Re: NEW starter problem
Can be done on your back. There’s an access panel behind passenger wheel that can get you to the terminals a little easier. Heard some people remove the mid section of exhaust for better access but I didn’t think that would help. The motor mount is the most in the way. Get the heat shield off and th...
