Re: Sound Deadener / Deadening / Sound Proofing Thread

I recently did this on a other car. Now that SDS is closed down, I used these guys for the foam: https://www.secondskinaudio.com/mega-zorbe-foam-no-adhesive Velcro: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B005756516/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_83H.EbWCNY0PP And I will 2nd what Steve said. That the roll of MLV must wei...

Re: Drive Cycles - OBD2 Emissions Monitor Readiness

For the v8, is step 5 meant to be driving, or just revving the engine at a constant TPS? Is says to shift to D, but then step 3 also says to put the parking brake on and shift to D, so I'm not sure I trust that. Step 5 is hard to do if you don't live in a flat area with a place that you can go for 2...

Re: Map Lights for 2014+ PPV's - Possible!!

Hi all, Thanks very much to Steve for doing the research here and even send me the terminated wires! I am very happy to report that first off the color match was spot on to my eye. Also, the LED back lighting works well. It's a nice blue shade that dims with the dash cluster dimming switch. Works gr...

Re: Anyone else use the Camaro console?

Ilikemtb999 what did you end up needing to connect the shifter to the transmission? Was it 92234744? https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-shift-control-cable-92234744/?c=Zz1hdXRvbWF0aWMtdHJhbnNtaXNzaW9uJnM9Z2Vhci1zaGlmdC1jb250cm9sJmk9JnI9JmE9Y2hldnJvbGV0Jm89Y2FtYXJvJnk9MjAxMyZ0PXNzJmU9Ni0ybC12...

Re: 2014 in State College PA

It runs! Started on the first hit of the key last night. Sounded OK, but not as expected. Realized it was idling in 4 cyl mode after unplugging some coils. Got HP Tuners set up and turned off DOD/AFM. Sounds great now, revs quick, and idles down to 750 RPM on its own. I love this LS shit.

Re: 2014 in State College PA

Update on the rebuild - I mentioned that the plan was to use 100% Camaro parts on the L92 since that would let me keep the VVT, which requires the accessory drive that is farthest from the block, like trucks & late Camaros. I had bought a Camaro A/C compressor bracket and a used compressor. When...

Re: 2014 in State College PA

Thanks CrashTestDummy! I would have gladly gone back with an L77. It seems like the cost of an LS2 style L76/77 and an LS3 style L92 were about the same (not cheap), and the L92 seemed to be more available. The L92 also doesn't have DOD/AFM which saved me some time, money, and complexity. I was/am a...

2014 in State College PA

Hi all, I picked up my white 2014 with about 92k at the end of January. The body and interior are in pretty decent shape. I bought it with a bad engine, which was partially disassembled. The heads were in the trunk, exhaust manifolds and cats missing... I was thinking that I could have the one cylin...
