Re: Any issues owning a Caprice?
Aside from lifter tick, which is very annoying mine has been problem free.

Re: Greetings Caprice Owners
This sounds and looks a lot like another car that someone posted about it. Get a carfax, if I remember correctly the cars were totaled and rebuilt half ass.

Car threw a p0521 tonight
While driving home from work tonight my car cel came on and after scanning it at the house it came up as a p0521. I've been scouring the g8 forums and it seems like its fairly common. I did my DOD delete right at 1050 miles ago without incident, so I guess its time to start troubleshooting things. H...

Re: To delete or not to delete. That is the question
I did the DOD delete and cam swap a few weekends ago. MPG suffered until I got it tuned, now its back in the 19-21mpg highway range. Oh and the power you can get out of a cam swap is nice. Can you fill me in on the cam you went with and the total cost? Currently I'm not interested in doin...

Re: Just finished DOD delete and cam swap, need tuning optio
Mine had a serious tick which is half of the reason I got it so cheap. Like most G8 owners I opted to delete the DOD and swap cams as soon as I could. I ended up finding a local tuner who was also a gun nut and did some trading for a dyno tune. All I can say is that performance is night and day.

Re: Just finished DOD delete and cam swap, need tuning optio
I am currently using these service for my tuning... its not quite a emailed can tune however because of the hardware on our cars you have to purchase a plug in device from them which allows you to log the car pcm and tcm information as you drive, then you send the files with that info to blackbear ...

Just finished DOD delete and cam swap, need tuning options
I completed my DOD delete and swapped out the cam for a mild LS3 cam. All of the local options I have for tuning want $599 for a 2 hour dyno session. I didnt exactly build a balls out car, just a solid daily driver and I cant seem to justify the cost of a dyno tune. My biggest issue so far is the AF...

Also FWIW Sandy Springs converts all their cars to propane.
