Re: Insurance?
Government owned Police cars have insurance as well and although not insured by the usual companies that the public uses, the data is reported and collected by the insurance industry. If the rates are similar to the G8, that would make sense to me. I think a lot of the parts are expensive not neces...

Re: Value Of 100K+ Miles Caprices
No, the differences between our cars and the SS and G8 are in the lengths of the intermediate pipes and the length of the tailpipe, extending from the mufflers, out the back. To use Kook's headers, you are at a minimum, going to need their high-flow cats, and the x-pipe. Those could be fabbed into ...

Re: Value Of 100K+ Miles Caprices
I can't say what Kooks will charge, I can however testify for their great service and quality parts. but if i get regular SS headers, dont get them made specifically longer for our caprice, they will still save the factory trans cooler, right? ill just have the flanges cut off and weld to exhaust p...

Re: Stainless Works Chevy SS header/exhaust in progress!
If they make the SS headers (not caprice), and i dont mind cutting the end of the LTH and having them welding to my pipes, then these would work in that sense, and not require the cooler delete, correct? loved my SW headers on other cars

Re: Value Of 100K+ Miles Caprices
My car has long tube headers and no mufflers instead of cutouts. It is about the same noise level as a Mustang - below 4000 rpm...then it gets LOUD! I have been running it that way since last August and have not been hasseled yet. ive already seen and wet myself over your video you posted when your...

Re: leather shift knob
you are trying to remove the knob/shifter for the 9C1, correct? other than the guys who've already done it, I don't have anything to offer. Greg Catuncan (gregc) has done the swap--he would be the best bet, I'm thinking. PM him. thanks sent him the question via PM. yes that is what I am trying to do

Re: leather shift knob
How do you remove the pieces of the shifter assembly on to replace that part? I am trying to remove the shifter from the center console for my 9C3 console swap and cant get the shifter knob off, so that i can remove the plastic trim around the gear selector/shifter. i can start to separate the leath...
