Auto cross, drags or drifting?

Hey guys, thinking of entering my Caprice at the LS fest. Where do these Caprices really shine when it comes to showing off their potential? I love the deceptive appearance of these GMs on steroids ,
So what event or events would I be safe to enter?

Re: Spark plug torque specs?

Right on Gene, I've been using "Permatex" anti-seize compound for years mostly on iron head GM motors but with our new alluminum LS motors it sure couldn't hurt. I made the mistake last year of installing all new $$ stainless steel bolts on my jet boat motor mounts tightened them all up without anti...

Re: Need a 12 volt power source

I'll hunt around and look for a wire to tap into, but I really dont think I need much more than 10amps. The wireing coming from the cutouts is maybe 18 or 20 gauge. Thanks Steve.

Re: Need a 12 volt power source

As far as I know theres no auxiliary battery in the trunk. I was hoping for a hot ignition source near the center console, unless I pull a source from under the hood.

Need a 12 volt power source

Hey gang , does anyone know the best place to pick up a ignition on 12 volt source either in the center console or fuse panel to wire up a pair of Exhaust Cut outs? I believe they would only pull 15 amps max between the both, I'm just going with the fact that each one has a 7.5 amp. fuse in line. An...

Re: How To - Adding a glove compartment courtesy light

Hey Steve, Is that the Detective model center console or a G8 ? Thats way deeper than the one I ordered from Nenno products. Also do you know a good 12 volt power source I could tap into to wire up my exhaust cut outs ? I would think they only pull about 15 amps max between the both, and preferably s...

Re: Headlight headlamp bulb replacement 2011 Caprice 9C3

Thanks Gene, I also ordered a couple adapter rings off Amazon to make this happen just haven't had a chance to install them when I get off work. It gets dark so early and its probably darn near 55 deg. And freezing outside. Lol

Thanks O'lblue68, so aren't they hydraulic allowing a bit of leeway? And is there some standard pushrod lengths available for are motors or are the machines to the exact length we call out?.

Re: DOD delete, converter, etc.... pull motor ?

This is new to me, plugging the oil relief hole?
Does melling mention this when installing their pumps?
And another motor builder mentioned something about shiming the new pump out? What the heck does that do? This is all new to me, I'm used to SB and BBC motors "ol skool" but eager to learn.
