PPV as a daily driver or family car

I've owned my 2012 PPV for a year now and have put about 14000 miles on it. After the initial oil use problems (that I shared with you all on this forum) the car has been a trouble free car in all respects, save for the minor recalls that GM has put out. I've been getting about 19mpg on average (cou...

Re: L77 Oil Consumption Issues

FINAL REPORT!!! Well, it's been 2100 miles since Jim Price Chevy rebuilt my engine, and I've used less than 1/2 quart of Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W30. The majority of the oil used to date happened in the first 500 miles after the repair so I believe the consumption rate is now much lower. Jim ...

Shifter Recall for 2012 PC1

Took my 2012 PC1 in to the dealer for a 4-wheel alignment and to diagnose a "minor" issue with my shifter...it was sort of clunky going into Park. Well, I was just informed there is a so far unspecified recall on the shifting unit. They just got the complete shift mechanism in and are inst...

Re: So what are real world prices for a 9C1 and 9C3?

I bought my 2012 PC1 6.0L with 4200 miles for $24K in Feb 2014. The wheels, TSW Nurburgring, were provided with the car by the dealer to make it more marketable. I also got the original wheels as well. http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss127/cprher/Chevy%20Caprice%20PPV/PPVRight_zps90fbcbce.jpg

Re: GM Exhaust tips installed

About 6". The old pipe is about where the weld seam is just next to the rear edge of the Torca Torctite Stainless Steel Lap Joint Band Exhaust Clamp (http://www.ebay.com/itm/171060900477" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I cut the pipe with a four blade cutting tool (ht...

GM Exhaust tips installed

Just finished installing GM exhaust tips on my PC1. They are GM Part# 19165195, but I used a polished stainless steel clamp rather than the one that came with the tips. http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss127/cprher/Chevy%20Caprice%20PPV/IMAG0346_zps8938fa42.jpg http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/s...

Re: Appearance upgrades coming together

Here are the latest exterior upgrades to make the car look only a bit more "civilian". The exhaust tips are GM # 19165195, where I used a polished clamp rather than the one that came with the tips. http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss127/cprher/Chevy%20Caprice%20PPV/IMAG0346_zps8938fa42.j...

Another question for Crazy Paul - Trunk Lid Carpeting

Paul,

Can you provide the part number for the carpet that covers the trunk lid and the retaining pins for the PPV?

Thanks.
